1. Policy Eligibility
Our Lifetime Buy-Back & Exchange Policy is applicable under the following conditions:

  • The jewellery was purchased directly from DEEMI’s official website.
  • The item is returned in its original, unaltered condition, showing no signs of damage, modification, or excessive wear.

Customised or personalised pieces—including those that are engraved or specifically made to order—are not eligible for exchange under this policy.



2. Buyback Value & Credit Note
 We offer a FLAT 50% Buy-Back or Exchange value on eligible jewellery, based on the original purchase price (MRP), excluding discounts and applicable taxes.

  • 50% Buy-Back Value   – Applicable only on Gold Jewellery & Mixed-Metal Jewellery.

  • 50% Exchange Value  – Applicable only on Sterling Silver Jewellery.

  • By default, the buyback value is issued as a credit note, valid for any future purchase at DEEMI Jewels. www.deemiindia.com

  • Refunds are generally not provided, except:

    Refund Exception

    A refund will be issued only for Buy-Back eligible products —
    meaning Gold Jewellery and Mixed-Metal Jewellery — after they pass full inspection and approval.

     

  • Refund processing time: 7–8 working days from successful inspection.

     

  • Refund will be issued to the original payment method.
    All other cases will receive a credit note only.

3. Inspection Process
All Exchange requests are subject to a thorough quality inspection conducted by DEEMI’s internal Quality Assurance team. This evaluation is essential to verify the following:

  • Authenticity of the product.
  • Condition of the jewellery (must be in original, unaltered state).
  • Compliance with all terms outlined in the Lifetime Buy-Back & Exchange Policy.

Only products that successfully pass this inspection will be approved for the issuance of a credit note.



4. Non-Eligible Items
The following categories of products are excluded from DEEMI’s Lifetime Buy-Back & Exchange Policy:

  • Customised or personalised jewellery, including engraved pieces.

  • Jewellery that has been altered, resized, or repaired by any party other than DEEMI.

  • Items purchased during clearance sales or promotional offers are not eligible unless explicitly specified as eligible.

We recommend reviewing the eligibility criteria before initiating a buyback request to ensure a smooth experience.



5. Condition & Documentation Requirements
To qualify for DEEMI’s Lifetime Buy-Back & Exchange Policy, customers must submit the following:

  • The original jewellery piece is in undamaged, unaltered condition.

  • The original product was as received at the time of purchase.

  • The original invoice or a clear copy of it.

  • The product certificate, if one was provided.

  • A valid government-issued photo ID of the requester.

  • The original DEEMI warranty card

All documents and the product must be verified and approved by DEEMI’s Quality Assurance team before credit note issuance.



6. Key Terms & Conditions

  • Buy-Back & Exchange value is calculated on the original purchase price (MRP), excluding any taxes and discounts.

  • Any discounts applied at the time of the original purchase will be deducted from the exchange value.

  • Credit notes issued under this policy are non-transferable and can only be used by the original purchaser.

  • All items must be securely packaged and shipped to our registered office in New Delhi to prevent transit damage.

  • If DEEMI arranges the return shipping, logistics charges at actual cost will be deducted from the credit note value.

  • No cash or bank refunds will be provided under the Exchange Program.

  • Credit notes will be issued within 21 business days from the date we receive and approve the item at our facility.


7.  Shipping & Exchange Request Instructions
All items should be shipped using our authorised shipping partner: Shiprocket

Alternatively, customers may choose to self-ship their items to DEEMI’s registered office in New Delhi, ensuring that the jewellery is securely packaged in a box, padded envelope, or bubble wrap to prevent any damage during transit.

Please note: DEEMI is not responsible for any damage or loss caused by improper packaging or unauthorised shipping methods


 
8. How to Initiate a Buyback Request

9. Discretion of Rights
DEEMI reserves the right to:

  • Approve or deny any buyback request at its sole discretion.

  • Modify, suspend, or discontinue this Exchange Policy at any time, without prior notice.

  • Strictly enforce the terms and conditions of this policy without exception.
